Hot Weather Alert

​It’s HOT outside! In an effort to conserve energy and reduce demand on the electrical grid during these warmer months, Facilities has taken steps to reduce HQ1 & HQ2 energy consumption in addition to our routine energy reduction activities.

You’ll notice that we’ve turned off lighting in corridors, hallways,  elevator lobbies, and atriums where natural daylight is sufficient. We will also conduct light sweeps to turn off lights in unoccupied spaces.

We have also raised the temperature in the buildings by two degrees and turned water features off.

Here’s what you can do to work comfortably and help save energy:

1.) Dress comfortably and appropriately so that you are not utilizing heating or cooling controls

2.) Close office blinds to control heat penetration

3.) Turn off your office and task lighting when you leave for a meeting or for lunch

4.) Turn off conference room lights when not in use

5.) Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated
